Chris joined Kelso in 2001. He spent the preceding two years attending business school and the previous three years as an Analyst at Stonington Partners.Chris co-leads our financial services practice and also focuses on investments in the business services sector. Frank Loverro

Frank joined Kelso in 1993. He spent the preceding three years in the Private Equity Investment group and High Yield Finance at The First Boston Corporation.Frank is currently a director of Valenz and Zenith Energy. Past directorships include Ajax Resources, Buckeye Partners, Delphin Shipping, Eagle Bulk Shipping, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Helios, Oceana Therapeutics, Physicians Endoscopy and Tallgrass Energy.Frank received a B.A. in Economics with Distinction from the University of Virginia in 1991. He is an Emeritus Trustee of the College Foundation of the University of Virginia and also Co-Chairs its New York Regional Board. Frank is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Greenwich Country Day School and is also a member of the Board of Trustees of New York-based non-profit organizations Prep for Prep and CMC: Foundation for Change.
Phil Berney

Phil joined Kelso in 1999. He spent the preceding eight years at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., eventually becoming a Senior Managing Director and Head of the High Yield Capital Markets group. He was previously in High Yield Finance at The First Boston Corporation.Phil is currently a director of Eagle Foods and Ferraro Foods. He has served as a director on the boards of many Kelso portfolio companies, including Armkel, Cronos, Custom Building Products, Del Laboratories, DS Waters, EACOM Timber, Logan's Roadhouse, Nortek, Overwatch Systems, PowerTeam Services, PSAV and Wilton Re.Phil received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. He is currently a Trustee and Member of the Executive Committee at The Trinity School of New York City, a member of the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Board and a past member of the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai Health System.
Lynn Alexander
Partner, Investor Relations
Lynn joined Kelso in 2010. She is focused on marketing, fundraising and investor relations. She spent the preceding eight years as an active leader in a variety of non-profit organizations and raising her four children. She spent the previous seven years in the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co., eventually becoming Director. She also spent three years as an Associate in the Natural Resources Investment Banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co.
Baily Blair Kempner
Managing Director, Investor Relations
Baily joined Kelso in 2024. She is focused on marketing, fundraising and investor relations. She spent the last three years at BC Partners where she was a Managing Director on their US LP coverage team raising capital for their equity and credit funds. Prior to BC Partners, Baily worked in various investor relations roles for over a decade. Baily received a BA with Distinction from Yale University in 2006 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2011. Baily is also a Kauffman Fellow.
Jack Brugger

Jack joined Kelso in 2023. He spent the preceding two years as an investment banking analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at RBC Capital Markets. Jack is active in the Firm’s investments in Pathstone, Novvia Group and Ferraro Foods.He received a B.A. with Honors in Economics from Northwestern University in 2020.
Frank Bynum

Frank joined Kelso in 1987. He spent the preceding two years as an Investment Analyst with New York Life Insurance Company. Frank has served as a director on the boards of many Kelso portfolio companies, including 21st Century Newspapers, Custom Building Products, Cygnus Publishing, Ellis Communications, Endurance Business Media, Nivel, PSAV, Sentinel Data Centers, Sirius Computer Solutions, Truck-Lite, Universal Outdoor and US LBM. Frank received a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia in 1985. He is currently a Trustee of Prep for Prep, a New York-based non-profit organization, and is an Emeritus Trustee of The College Foundation of the University of Virginia.
Haley Close
Senior Associate, Capital Markets
Haley joined Kelso in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she was an investment banking associate in the Financial Sponsors group at Credit Suisse. Previously, she was an investment banking analyst in the Loan Capital Markets group at Credit Suisse. Haley is active in the Firm’s capital markets activities, including acquisition financing for new investments and capital structure optimization for existing portfolio companies. Haley received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business in 2018.
David Cohen
Partner, Human Capital
David joined Kelso in 2019. He is focused on applying talent and human capital best practices to enhancing the firm’s investment process, portfolio companies and Kelso Specialist Network. He spent the preceding nine years with American Securities in a similar role in support of their middle market portfolio. He was previously with Bristol-Myers Squibb for more than eight years where he held a number of HR leadership positions including three and a half years based in Singapore as their HR leader for Asia Pacific. Prior to joining BMS in 2001, he was with General Electric for nine years where he held various HR positions in the Company’s Healthcare, Industrial Systems and Plastics businesses. He began his career managing a small rural based development organization in Botswana, Africa as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer.
Forrest Compton

Forrest joined Kelso in 2014. He spent the preceding two years in the Financial Sponsors group at Credit Suisse.Forrest is currently a director of Bridgenext, J.S. Held and ReSource Pro. In addition, he is active in the Firm's investments in Premia Re, Risk Strategies and Somers Re. He was a past director of PowerTeam Services. He also was active in the Firm's past investments in American Beacon, EACOM Timber, Newport Group and Third Point Re.He received a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in 2012.
Jim Connors

Jim joined Kelso in 1993. He spent the preceding six years as an Associate with Debevoise & Plimpton, working primarily in their mergers and acquisitions group and securities practice group. He has served on the boards of many Kelso portfolio companies, including Custom Building Products. Jim earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Law Review, in 1987. He received a B.A. in History from The College of William & Mary in 1984. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
Andrew Daniels
Controller
Andrew joined Kelso in 2021. He spent the preceding two years as a Senior Accountant at KKR Financial Services Company. Prior to KKR, he spent three years at PwC in the Investment Management Tax Practice. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his Masters in Tax from Pace University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Central Florida.
Tim Ding

Tim joined Kelso in 2011. Prior to joining the Firm, he spent five years as a Vice President with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Tax Services Group supporting Merchant Bank Private Equity and Debt funds. He spent the preceding eight years in public accounting firms including KPMG LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP serving investment fund clients. He earned an M.B.A. from The University of Montana with a full scholarship in 1998 and received a B.S. from Hangzhou University in China in 1995.

He spent the previous eleven years practicing corporate law in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, becoming a Partner in 1980. He spent the previous five years as an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Michael is active in the Firm’s investments in The Poseidon Companies and Tallgrass. Mark joined Kelso in 2023. He was previously a Manager in the Employee Capital Services group at KKR. Prior to this, he spent 5 years working at Blackstone in the General Partnership Accounting group. Lauren Haag

Lauren joined Kelso in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the Legal and Compliance group at J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC for 13 years. After starting her career as a Legal Assistant at Sidley Austin LLP, Lauren worked as a Paralegal for both Bear Stearns’ investment bank and Bear Stearns Merchant Banking. Ms. Haag received a B.A. magna cum laude in Government from Connecticut College

She earned her Masters in Tax from Fordham University and a B.S. in Accounting and International Business from Montclair State University.

Dillon joined Kelso in 2013. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a Senior Audit Associate in the Private Equity Investor Services practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He received both his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Fordham University in 2010.
Joe Kopilak
Partner & CFO
Joe joined Kelso in 2021. He spent the preceding two years at Pine Brook Partners, where he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Pine Brook Partners, Joe was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Roundtable Investment Partners/Truvvo Partners for 13 years. Previously, he spent six years at J.P. Morgan, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of the J.P. Morgan Partners Global Investors fund. After starting his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Joe spent three years at The Beacon Group as Assistant Controller. Joe received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and received a B.S. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Boston College in 1995. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Eric Lindgren
Operations Head of Technology
Eric joined Kelso in 2023. He supports the Portfolio Operations team’s technology initiatives. He has over 20 years as a CIO, he has also led organizations in eBusiness, Global Shared Services, and Continuous Improvement and has spent the prior seven years as the CIO for Bright Horizons. Before he joined Bright Horizons, Eric served as the corporate CIO for PerkinElmer and Clean Harbors, and began his leadership career serving as a divisional CIO for Honeywell. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA with high honors from Boston University.

George Matelich

George joined Kelso in 1985. He spent the preceding two years in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance departments at Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb. He has served as a director of more than 20 former Kelso affiliated companies and as lead director of two public companies. George earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford GSB in 1982 and a B.A. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound in 1978. He was a C.P.A. and holds a C.M.A.
Howard Matlin

Howard joined Kelso in 1997. He spent the preceding eight years as Chief Financial Officer and a Principal at Butler Capital Corporation, an investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts. He spent the previous nine years in various financial management positions at Deloitte & Touche, Colgate-Palmolive and Riverbank America. Howard earned an M.B.A. from St. John’s University in 1979, where he graduated beta gamma sigma, and received a B.A. in Political Science from Queens College in 1976. He was a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a founding board member of the New York Chapter of the Private Equity CFO Association and is a former member of The George Washington University School of Business Board of Advisors.

He received a B.S.B.A in Finance and Operations & Information Management from Georgetown University in 2021.
Beth Neumann
Partner, Portfolio Operations
Beth joined Kelso in 2021. She spent the preceding two years as a senior member of the portfolio operations team at Sun Capital Partners. She previously served as President and CEO of Starboard Cruise Services, a global retailer owned by LVMH. Prior to Starboard, Beth was an executive at Avon, Atkins Nutritionals, Kraft Foods, and Andersen Consulting. Beth received an Engineering degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Michael Nichols
Partner, Capital Markets
Mike joined Kelso in 2016 and leads the firm’s capital markets activities, including acquisition financing for new investments and capital structure optimization for existing portfolio companies. He is also responsible for the execution of all debt and equity co-investments, working in close coordination with the Investor Relations team. Prior to joining Kelso, Mike was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance group at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing leveraged loan and high yield bond financings. Previously, he held capital markets roles at RoundPoint Capital Group and Banc of America Securities. Mike received an MBA from Yale University in 2012 and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2004.
Frank Nickell

“Nick” joined Kelso in 1977. He has been involved with private equity investing since joining the Firm. He spent the preceding six years practicing as a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to having been a member of numerous Kelso portfolio company boards, Nick is a former director of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and BlackRock, Inc. Nick received a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1970. He is currently a Trustee of NYU Hospitals Center. He has also won over 20 North American Bridge League National titles, represented the United States in International competition 18 of the last 23 years and has been a member of the team that won the World Championship on five different occasions.
Tamara O'Leary

Tamara joined Kelso in 1994 reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Tamara manages the research, development and deployment of critical business systems to the firm. Prior to joining Kelso, Tamara had a career as an independent entrepreneur developing automation solutions for her various clients.

Lindsay Paterson Gordon

Lindsay joined Kelso in 2020. Before joining Kelso, Lindsay spent two years in private equity at Riverstone Holdings, where she focused on investments across the energy, power, and renewables landscape. Lindsay started her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Lindsay is currently a director of Ferraro Foods and WilliamsMarston. Lindsay is active in the Firm’s investments in Eagle Foods and Foundation Consumer Brands. Lindsay received a B.A. in History, cum laude, from Yale University in 2014. She earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2020.

He spent the preceding five years as an Associate Director of Mergers and Acquisitions with Arthur Young & Company.Dave has served as a director on the boards of many Kelso portfolio companies, including Augusta Sportswear, BWAY, DS Waters, Endo Pharmaceuticals, KAR Auction Services, Nivel, Renfro, TransDigm and Unilab.Dave earned an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University in 1982 and received a B.A. in Economics from Western Maryland College in 1980. He is currently a Trustee and Chair of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Wake Forest University and a member of the Wake Forest University School of Business Board of Visitors
Tom Wall
Senior Advisory Partner
Tom joined Kelso in 1983. He spent the preceding three years as a lending officer in the Corporate Division of Chemical Bank.Tom has served as a director on the boards of many Kelso portfolio companies, including Augusta Sportswear, BWAY, Charter Communications, ClubCar, Cygnus Publishing, Ellis Communications, King Broadcasting, Nivel, Renfro, Sandler O’Neill + Partners and TransDigm.Tom received a B.S. in Business Administration with special attainments in Commerce from Washington & Lee University in 1980. He is currently the Chairman of the Investment Committee of Washington & Lee, and is also a member of the Investment Committees of Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut and The Sacred Heart School in New York City.

Eric Lindgren
Operations Head of Technology
Eric joined Kelso in 2023. He supports the Portfolio Operations team’s technology initiatives. He has over 20 years as a CIO, he has also led organizations in eBusiness, Global Shared Services, and Continuous Improvement and has spent the prior seven years as the CIO for Bright Horizons. Before he joined Bright Horizons, Eric served as the corporate CIO for PerkinElmer and Clean Harbors, and began his leadership career serving as a divisional CIO for Honeywell. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA with high honors from Boston University.
Beth Neumann
Partner, Portfolio Operations
Beth joined Kelso in 2021. She spent the preceding two years as a senior member of the portfolio operations team at Sun Capital Partners. She previously served as President and CEO of Starboard Cruise Services, a global retailer owned by LVMH. Prior to Starboard, Beth was an executive at Avon, Atkins Nutritionals, Kraft Foods, and Andersen Consulting. Beth received an Engineering degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
Chris Rogers

Chris joined Kelso in 2023. As a Senior Associate in Portfolio Operations, Chris is focused on improving the operational performance of Kelso’s portfolio companies. Chris spent the preceding 5 years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Prior to McKinsey, Chris held roles at L.E.K. Consulting and Target Corporate.Chris earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S., magna cum laude, in Economics from Oklahoma City University.
Nicole Weil
Manager, Operational Effectiveness
Nicole Weil joined Kelso in 2023. She supports both Kelso’s Portfolio Operations and Human Capital teams to maximize their impact on portfolio company and firm success. Nicole spent the preceding two years at Veritas Capital in its Portfolio Optimization group. Prior to that, she worked as a management consultant in Alvarez & Marsal's Corporate Performance Improvement group. Nicole earned an M.B.A from New York University's Stern School of Business and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.

David Cohen
Partner, Human Capital
David joined Kelso in 2019. He is focused on applying talent and human capital best practices to enhancing the firm’s investment process, portfolio companies and Kelso Specialist Network. He spent the preceding nine years with American Securities in a similar role in support of their middle market portfolio. He was previously with Bristol-Myers Squibb for more than eight years where he held a number of HR leadership positions including three and a half years based in Singapore as their HR leader for Asia Pacific. Prior to joining BMS in 2001, he was with General Electric for nine years where he held various HR positions in the Company’s Healthcare, Industrial Systems and Plastics businesses. He began his career managing a small rural based development organization in Botswana, Africa as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer.
Victoria Solarino

Victoria joined Kelso in 2020. She is part of the Human Capital team, supporting key talent acquisition projects in our portfolio companies, Kelso Specialist Network and internally at Kelso. She spent the preceding 5 years at Two Sigma Investments holding two roles as Head of Executive Search and Vice President, Head of Corporate Talent Acquisition. Prior experience includes 4 years at UBS Global Asset Management, Americas as a Senior Recruiter and 6 years at Michael Page International within various leadership roles between the UK and US. A native of England, Victoria earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Leeds University in 1999.

Haley Close
Senior Associate, Capital Markets
Haley joined Kelso in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she was an investment banking associate in the Financial Sponsors group at Credit Suisse. Previously, she was an investment banking analyst in the Loan Capital Markets group at Credit Suisse. Haley is active in the Firm’s capital markets activities, including acquisition financing for new investments and capital structure optimization for existing portfolio companies. Haley received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business in 2018.
Michael Nichols
Partner, Capital Markets
Mike joined Kelso in 2016 and leads the firm’s capital markets activities, including acquisition financing for new investments and capital structure optimization for existing portfolio companies. He is also responsible for the execution of all debt and equity co-investments, working in close coordination with the Investor Relations team. Prior to joining Kelso, Mike was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance group at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing leveraged loan and high yield bond financings. Previously, he held capital markets roles at RoundPoint Capital Group and Banc of America Securities. Mike received an MBA from Yale University in 2012 and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2004.

Lynn Alexander
Partner, Investor Relations
Lynn joined Kelso in 2010. She is focused on marketing, fundraising and investor relations. She spent the preceding eight years as an active leader in a variety of non-profit organizations and raising her four children. She spent the previous seven years in the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch & Co., eventually becoming Director. She also spent three years as an Associate in the Natural Resources Investment Banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co.
Baily Blair Kempner
Managing Director, Investor Relations
Baily joined Kelso in 2024. She is focused on marketing, fundraising and investor relations. She spent the last three years at BC Partners where she was a Managing Director on their US LP coverage team raising capital for their equity and credit funds. Prior to BC Partners, Baily worked in various investor relations roles for over a decade. Baily received a BA with Distinction from Yale University in 2006 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2011. Baily is also a Kauffman Fellow.

Zena joined Kelso in 2023. Prior to joining Kelso, she was an investment banking analyst in the Power and Renewables Group at J.P. Morgan.Zena received a B.A. in Economics, a B.S. in International Business, and a B.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communication, summa cum laude, from the Western Kentucky University Mahurin Honors College in 2021.

Elise joined Kelso in 2020. She spent the preceding two years as a senior investment analyst at TriLinc Global, an impact-focused private credit fund. Prior to that, she spent two years as an investment banking analyst in the Business Services group at Houlihan Lokey. She received a B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California in 2016.

Lauren joined Kelso in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the Legal and Compliance group at J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC for 13 years. After starting her career as a Legal Assistant at Sidley Austin LLP, Lauren worked as a Paralegal for both Bear Stearns’ investment bank and Bear Stearns Merchant Banking. Ms. Haag received a B.A. magna cum laude in Government from Connecticut College
Rebecca Rosenzweig

Rebecca joined Kelso in 2022. She has a background in RIA compliance, fund formation, and general corporate matters. Ms. Rosenzweig earned her law degree from Columbia Law School (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), and her Masters in Management Science from the London School of Economics (with Distinction).
William Woo
Partner, General Counsel, CCO
William joined Kelso in 2019. He spent the preceding four years as Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. Prior to that, William spent four years as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at North Cove Partners, a private equity firm spun out of Bank of America. During the preceding five years, he held various senior positions at Merrill Lynch and BAML, including lead counsel for BAML Capital Partners. William began his legal career as an Associate in the M&A group of Shearman & Sterling. William earned a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2001 and received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1995.

Andrew joined Kelso in 2021. He spent the preceding two years as a Senior Accountant at KKR Financial Services Company. Prior to KKR, he spent three years at PwC in the Investment Management Tax Practice. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his Masters in Tax from Pace University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Central Florida.
Tim Ding
Director of Tax
Tim joined Kelso in 2011. Prior to joining the Firm, he spent five years as a Vice President with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Tax Services Group supporting Merchant Bank Private Equity and Debt funds. He spent the preceding eight years in public accounting firms including KPMG LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP serving investment fund clients. He earned an M.B.A. from The University of Montana with a full scholarship in 1998 and received a B.S. from Hangzhou University in China in 1995.

Mark joined Kelso in 2023. He was previously a Manager in the Employee Capital Services group at KKR. Prior to this, he spent 5 years working at Blackstone in the General Partnership Accounting group. He is a Certified Public Accountant.He earned both his Masters in Taxation and a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University.

Senior Manager, Tax
Lena joined Kelso in 2021. She spent the preceding six years as a Tax Accountant at Soros Fund Management LLC specializing in tax compliance for Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Prior to Soros, she spent three years at Deloitte Tax LLP in the Investment Management Tax Practice. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned her Masters in Tax from Fordham University and a B.S. in Accounting and International Business from Montclair State University.
Dillon Kois
Controller
Dillon joined Kelso in 2013. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a Senior Audit Associate in the Private Equity Investor Services practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He received both his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Fordham University in 2010.
Joe Kopilak
Partner & CFO
Joe joined Kelso in 2021. He spent the preceding two years at Pine Brook Partners, where he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Pine Brook Partners, Joe was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Roundtable Investment Partners/Truvvo Partners for 13 years. Previously, he spent six years at J.P. Morgan, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of the J.P. Morgan Partners Global Investors fund. After starting his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Joe spent three years at The Beacon Group as Assistant Controller. Joe received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and received a B.S. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Boston College in 1995. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tamara joined Kelso in 1994 reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Tamara manages the research, development and deployment of critical business systems to the firm. Prior to joining Kelso, Tamara had a career as an independent entrepreneur developing automation solutions for her various clients.
Monique Sieratzki
Senior Accountant
Monique joined Kelso in 2022. Prior to joining the Firm, she was an Associate Manager focusing on Real Assets in the Fund Accounting group at SS&C Technologies. Prior to working at SS&C Technologies, Monique began her career at PwC in the assurance practice for the real estate industry. She received a B.S. from Yeshiva University in 2017. She is in the process of becoming a Certified Public Accountant and has passed 4 parts thus far.
